PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle communication system that keeps security and has excellent operation responsiveness.SOLUTION: A vehicle communication system 1 comprises: a vehicle 10 that performs wireless communication compliant to the BLUETOOTH standard; and a smart phone 20. An on-vehicle control unit 11 performs, regarding establishment of pairing with a smart phone control unit 21 as a trigger, challenge response authentication and, after establishment of the authentication, periodically performs collation of a rolling counter value set in the smart phone control unit 21. The on-vehicle control unit 11 permits operation of an on-vehicle apparatus all the time when the collation of the rolling counter value shows agreement. |
