A wideband harmonic trap includes a first resonant tank (510) in the form of a parallel LC circuit (511, 512), and a second resonant tank (520) in the form of a series LC circuit (521, 522). The LC circuits are connected to a common input (501), an output of the parallel LC circuit (511, 512) is connected to a load (502) and to ground via a shunt capacitor (530), and an output of the series LC circuit (521,522) is connected to the ground. Impedance matching is achieved by the connected capacitors (530). The device may be connected to a transistor as as wideband power amplifier at the input and an antenna (903) at the output
