PURPOSE: An apparatus for providing virtual call service in a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to grasp a caller using un-registered caller ID. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit (104) transmits and receives correspondence information, virtual call server information and virtual call history used in virtual call. An input unit (108) generates input data to perform the virtual call. A display unit (106) outputs caller ID. More than one processor controls a terminal. A memory unit (102) includes more than one module executed by the processors.
