The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a natural phenolic polymer by polymerizing a natural cashew nut shell liquid using an oxidizing agent and an oxidation-reduction activating catalyst in the presence of a natural organic solvent. The method can manufacture a high yield and economical natural phenolic polymer having excellent gloss of a paint film, image clarity, water resistance, durability, chemical resistance, and antibacterial activity since collection process of a used solvent is not needed during reaction by using a cashew nut shell liquid mixture which consists of many ingredients such as cardanol, anacardic acid, cardol, anacardol, etc or a refined cashew nut shell liquid which contains cardanol refined as a main ingredient. |
