PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that improves the collision safety of an electric power converter which converts electric power of a battery into electric power suitable for driving a motor.SOLUTION: An electric power converter 10 is divided into a main housing 10a and a sub housing 10b. The main housing 10a stores a high voltage circuit through which electric power for driving a motor flows. The sub housing 10b stores a control circuit which controls the high voltage circuit. The sub housing 10b is connected with the main housing 10a by a cable 23. The main housing 10a and the sub housing 10b are housed in a front compartment 2 of a vehicle with a motor case 3 which houses the motor. The main housing 10a is fixed onto the motor case 3. The sub housing 10b is disposed adjacent to the main housing 10a and fixed to a body of the vehicle.
