In the case of having a large semiconductor, power consumption of a transistor is increased. Thus, the present invention provides a display device capable of preventing current from flowing to a display element during a signal writing operation without varying potentials of power lines for supplying current to the display element at every row. When setting gate-source voltage of the transistor by applying predetermined current to the transistor, the potential of a gate terminal of the transistor is adjusted so as to prevent current from flowing to a load connected to a source terminal of the transistor. Therefore, the potential of a wire connected to the gate terminal of the transistor is differentiated from the potential of a wire connected to a drain terminal of the transistor. |
