Disclosed or cognitive training exercises that train subitizing, estimation, and rapid counting abilities in an intuitive, engaging, and adaptively challenging way to enhance cognition of a user. The exercise engages users in a task where the user must move a divider to partition a two or more items into two or more even sets. Users must rapidly and accurately evaluate the items in order to succeed.
