According to an embodiment of the present invention, a vehicle power conversion device converts single phase alternating current power into direct current power, and is provided with a two-level converter, a three-level converter, and one cooling device. The cooling device has disposed therein a power module having a built-in switching device constituting the two-level converter, and a power module having a built-in switching device constituting the three-level converter. The power module having the built-in switching device constituting the three-level converter has a withstand voltage equal to or higher than a voltage that can be applied to one of two capacitors connected in series, said capacitors constituting the three-level converter. The power module having the built-in switching device constituting the two-level converter has a withstand voltage equal to or higher than the total of the voltage that can be applied to one of the two capacitors connected in series, said capacitors constituting the three-level converter, and a voltage that can be applied to the capacitor constituting the two-level converter. |
