Conveying apparatus for the conveying of fish one at a time head first and oriented in lateral position comprises a feed chute for the fish (10) to be conveyed, an outlet chute (11) for the conveyed fish, a catching flap (16) arranged opposite to this and displaceable against a resilient bias, and a cyclic conveying device which comprises a rotationally driven wheel (2) with at least one entraining member (3) for penetrating the downstream end region of the feed chute (10) and the upstream end region of the outlet chute (11) so as to seize the fish substantially in the region of their heads. The entraining member (3) is provided with a gripping surface (8), the leading part of which has a projecting shoulder (5), which is oriented transversely to the direction of rotation of the wheel (2) and has a narrow support edge (6). <IMAGE> |
