PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker crane operating method capable of enhancing the space efficiency of an automated warehouse. SOLUTION: In the stacker crane operating method for moving a stacker crane along a rack in an automated warehouse, the stacker crane has a transfer means which loads an article on a loading stand and is retracted from the stacker crane to transfer the article.
