A reactor for manufacturing tin oxide powder is provided to raise a reaction speed of the nitric acid and the metal tin and to have a minute and uniform grain size. A reactor(100) for manufacturing tin oxide powder comprises a reactor(120), a metal tin support stand(140) arranged from a floor side of the reactor, an aqueous nitric acid solution spraying part(160) jetting and supplying nitric acid inside the reactor, an aqueous nitric acid solution exhausting part(180) for ejecting generated precipitate and the aqueous nitric acid solution outside the reactor. The aqueous nitric acid solution exhausting part comprises an opening and shutting valve(185) for periodically ejecting the precipitate and the aqueous nitric acid solution. A gas outlet(110) for ejecting gas generated by reaction of the nitric acid and the metal tin is arranged at an upper end of the reactor.
