PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail device provided on a boom side of a vehicle for high lift work which is capable of compatibly preventing any interference with a peripheral member or the like in advance and ensuring the safety of a user of a handrail. SOLUTION: A side edge 5a of a cover provided on an upper surface of a boom 3 or a side edge of the boom 3 is cut out in its longitudinal direction to form a cutout 51 or a cutout 31, and a handrail 10 is arranged within the projection range of the cutout 51 or the cutout 31 in the axial view of the boom 3. A worker moving on the side of the boom 3 can safely move by holding the handrail 10 to ensure the safety during the movement. Further, since the handrail 10 is provided within the projection range of the cutout 51 or 31, any problem can be prevented in advance, such that the worker is brought into contact with the handrail 10 and damaged thereby when passing the side of the boom 3 or a peripheral member such as a cable is interfered with the handrail 10 and damaged thereby during a work of derricking the boom 3.
