Regular execution of partial trace-back processing in parallel to path metric processing can shorten processing time for final trace-back processing after completion of the path metric processing. In addition, as a result of the partial trace-back processing, partial decoding data of each state with a smaller data quantity are stored instead of a remaining path of each state, memory capacity can be reduced. |
