<p>Hydrocarbons are desulphurized by passing with steam over uranium oxide on an alumina support at above 350 DEG C. Petroleum fractions for use in steam reforming may be treated. Hydrogen sulphide formed is removed, e.g. by washing with an aqueous solution of sodium vanadate and anthraquinone disulphonic acid.</p> |
