The surface decoration kit comprises a poly(vinyl chloride)-based covering for a surface to be painted, a container with urethane-acrylic-based paint, a unit for applying the paint on the surface covering, a unit for installing the surface covering and/or a unit for welding the surface covering, a film with stencil, and an employment mode. The covering is a multilayer product comprising a compact, foamed support layer (1) or textile and a poly(vinyl chloride)-based upper layer (2), and is present in the form of a slab or a roll.
