<p>The element i.e. catalyzer (1), has a support body or a substrate (3) e.g. ceramic substrate, attached to a casing pipe (2) in a form-fit manner using welded or solder connection. The casing pipe has wall sided through-holes (6). A thin-walled sealing element (5) is arranged as an intermediate layer between the support body and a pipe inner wall (4). The through-holes are covered or closed by the thin-walled sealing element. The thin-walled sealing element has a low thermal mass with respect to a through-hole region.</p> |
