PURPOSE: A light-diffusing agent including spherical silica beads and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce degradation of optical property of matters and failures rates of the agent by reforming the silica surface with a silane coupling agent. CONSTITUTION: A light-diffusing agent including spherical silica beads contains a cross-linking agent. The cross-linking agent is diol acrylic acid or a methacrylic acid ester group cross-linking agent. The cross-linking agent comprises butandiol diacrylate, triol such as glycerol, acrylic acid of tetrole such as pentaerythritol or methacrylic acid ester. The silane coupling agent is formed on the surface of the silica bead.
