PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device allowing a vehicle to run on an elevated highway, taking a visible establishment as a landmark. SOLUTION: When the vehicle is running on an ordinary road 32 below an elevated expressway 31, a map 30 appearing in a display monitor of the navigation device displays figures 34a to 34y indicating buildings of establishments (to be referred to as building figures hereinafter) and icons 35a to 35e indicating the establishments (to be referred to as icons hereinafter). When the vehicle is running on the elevated expressway 31, the map appearing in the display monitor displays the building figures 34a to 34g of the establishments where the topmost part thereof is higher than an elevation of the vehicle, and does not display the building figures 34h to 34y of the establishments where the topmost part thereof is lower than the elevation of the vehicle and the icons 35a to 35e of the establishments located lower than the elevation of the vehicle.
