ultraviolet-curable composition for an optical disk which is used in producing the optical disk which includes a substrate and, formed thereover, at least both a light reflection layer and a light transmission layer and in which data is read using a laser beam striking from the light transmission layer side. The composition is used to form the light transmission layer. The ultraviolet-curable composition for an optical disk contains an epoxy (meth)acrylate, a (metha)acrylate having two radical-polymerizable unsaturated bonds, and a free-radical photopolymerization initiator, in which the (meht)acrylate having two radiical-polymerizable unsaturated bonds contains a (meth)acrytlate of a neopentyl glycol hydroxypivalate compound, the content of the (meth)acrylate of the neopentyl glycol hydroxypivalate compound is 10 to 40% by mass, and the content of the free-radical photopolymerization initiator is 1 to 4% by mass.
