PURPOSE: A lifting apparatus for a sewing machine is provided to prevent unnecessary power consumption by a motor, and to elevate a presser foot freely and easily with external force. CONSTITUTION: A lifting apparatus for a sewing machine includes a motor driving part, a hall device sensor part(30), a power part, and a central processing part(40). A rotary shaft(81) is installed at the body of a base(100), and includes a direct current motor(61). A motor is controlled by the control part using a hall device. The hall device sensor part is comprised of a control member rotating a magnet.
