PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a corrected image from a blur image in a short processing time without using a blur detection sensor in image recovery blur correction. SOLUTION: Subsequent to photographing of a correction target image (blur image) of normal exposure, a reference image is photographed in short-time exposure. A small feature region (small image) including a large number edge components is extracted from each of correction target images and reference images, an image in the small region of the correction target image and an image in the small region of the reference image are treated as a deteriorated image and an initial recovery image, and a point spread function for the correction target image is calculated by a Fourier iterative method. The calculated point spread function is applied to the entire correction target image, thereby generating a correction image from which blur is removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
