PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for a single sliding door having one lateral end of a door plate always housed in a door pocket, which smoothly attached and detaches the door plate in/from an opening by easily lifting a side of the door plate housed in a door pocket. SOLUTION: There is provided a hook 1 for attaching and detaching the single sliding door which is for use in holding a lower edge 7a of the door plate 7 when the door plate 7 of the single sliding door K is lifted to detach it from the opening 25 or to attach the door plate 7 to the opening 25. The hook is formed of: a hook 3 which has a bottom surface receiving piece 5 for receiving a bottom surface of the door plate 7 and an engaging piece 6 protruding from the bottom surface receiving piece 5 engaged with the door plate 7; and a grip 4 gripped by manually operating the door plate.
