The invention relates to a sealing and securing element for constant velocity joints of longitudinal shafts for motor vehicles, the longitudinal shafts are configured as hollow shafts, the respective constant velocity joint being sealed with respect to the longitudinal shaft by way of a closing cover. The created sealing and securing element is disposed in the region of the connecting point of a longitudinal shaft (4) to a constant velocity joint (7) on the inside of the longitudinal shaft and comprises an elastic molded part (2) and a closing cover (3) integrated in the molded part (2). The molded part (2) has an inner structure, which is matched to the outer structure of the closing cover (3) and congruent such that the inner structure of the molded part (2) is configured in a stepped manner having two receiving openings and the outer structure of the closing cover (3) is configured in a stepped manner having two shoulders, wherein the closing cover (3) is pressed into the interior of the molded part (2) and rests against a peripheral shoulder (9) of the molded part (2).
