A cylinder head gasket is provided to cope with high performance engine of high combustion pressure continuously rising by forming a plurality of holes along a circular edge direction on the grommet part of an outer plate. A cylinder head gasket comprises an upper and lower outer plates(11,12) placed between a cylinder block and a cylinder head; an inner plate(13) placed inside the outer plate; and a stopper plate(15) placed on the bottom of the inner plate. The lower outer plate forms a grommet(17) whose circular edge is rolled toward the top of the upper outer plate. A plurality of holes(19) are formed at regular interval along the circular edge direction on the grommet. A chamfered part(21) is formed on the end of the stopper plate corresponding to the grommet.
