摘要 A vehicular transmission mechanism switchable between a continuously-variable shifting state and a step-variable shifting state, and a control device for controlling an operation of switching of the shifting state of the transmission mechanism so as to reduce its switching shock and improve the durability of coupling devices. The transmission mechanism 10 is switchable between the electrically established continuously-variable shifting state and the step-variable shifting state, by selective releasing and engaging actions of switching clutch C0 and brake B0, which are controlled by switching control means 50. Upon switching to the continuously-variable shifting state by the releasing action of the switching clutch C0 or brake B0 under the control of switching control means 50, first electric motor M1 is controlled by electric motor control means 82 such that a reaction torque is generated by the first electric motor, so that a reaction torque of the switching clutch C0 or brake B0 is adequately replaced by the reaction torque of the first electric motor M1, so as to reduce the switching shock upon switching of the transmission mechanism, and a difference between input and output speeds of the coupling device is reduced with a result of reduction of a load on the coupling device in its partially engaged state, and a consequent improvement in the durability of the coupling device.
