<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly perform steering lock for preventing theft when a roof is in the opened state while uncomfortable feeling of an occupant by operation sound or the like is reduced by preventing unnecessary operation of an electric motor when an anti-theft device for the vehicle for switching the locked/unlocked state of steering by the electric motor is mounted on a convertible or the like in which the roof is openable/closable. <P>SOLUTION: When the roof is in the closed state (NO in step S2), the steering is locked by driving the electric motor (executing step S7) when the opening/closing state of a door is varied after an ignition switch 22 becomes in the off state (YES in step S4). Whereas, when the roof is in the opened state (YES in step S2), steering is locked by driving the electric motor regardless of variation of the opening/closing state of the door after that when the ignition switch 22 becomes in the off state (executing step S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
