PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reinforcing material for mortar to stably produce fiber reinforced mortar having durability and strength without causing crack or crack falling. SOLUTION: The fiber reinforcing material for mortar is a core sheath type composite fiber using a hydrophobic polymer as a core component and a hydrophilic polymer as a sheath component. As the sheath component, the polymer having≤1.0% standard moisture regain is preferably used and as the core component, the polymer having≥3.0% standard moisture regain is preferably used.
