PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding machine for welding a workpiece consisting of a metallic material or the like through electric pressure by holding the workpiece by a flat plate electrode and a welding gun which is vertically elevated/lowered in a lengthwise posture, which is capable of performing the welding through the continuous conduction while turning and rocking the welding gun even when a weld spotting point is within the box-shaped workpiece or the like, or at a corner part thereof. SOLUTION: The spot welding machine has: a welding gun (100) which is positioned at a desired weld spotting point to perform the welding while it is moved, turned and rocked on a flat plate electrode; a head part (110) having a sliding curved surface at least on a part of an upper end of the welding gun; at least two conduction abutting pieces (210) which are slidably brought into contact with each other according to the movement, the turn and the rocking of the welding gun (100); and an elastic pressing means (300) for pressing these conduction abutting pieces (210).
