PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device that can minimize a circuit area required for a data bus drive circuit in stack bank structure. SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory device is provided with a plurality of banks stacked in a column direction, a global data line corresponding to the plurality of banks, and a common global data line driving unit for multiplexing data on a plurality of local data buses corresponding to each of the banks and transmitting the multiplexed result to the global data bus.
