<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance which activates the metabolism of fibroblast and/or promotes the growth of fibroblast and has reduced side-effects, particularly a cell activator comprising kale, an extract thereof, a kale sprout or an extract thereof which has an excellent cell activation effect on fibroblast and excels in the aspect of incorporation into an internal preparation or an external preparation. <P>SOLUTION: The cell activator comprises kale, an extract thereof, a kale sprout or an extract thereof.
