PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic manuscript transport device capable of preventing accumulation of heat generated by a light source in a frame unit. SOLUTION: The automatic manuscript transport device includes: the frame unit 200 housing a reduced optical scanner for reading an image on one surface of a manuscript to be transported, and having a hole 207 formed at a manuscript reading position; slit glass 208 fitted in the hole 207; a light source support member 209 formed of a heat-conducting material and supporting the light source 203; and a support member mounting part 211 being part of the flame unit 200, having the light source support member 209 mounted on the inner surface thereof, having an outer surface constituting a guide wall 45, and formed of a heat-conducting material.
