PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens cap easily locked in a lens barrel with a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The lens cap comprises a first cap member 1 and a second cap member 2 turning while it is fit to the inside of the first cap member 1, wherein a part of the outer wall part of the second cap member 2 is notched, to constitute a leaf spring 3, and the internal wall of the first cap member 1 has a portion coming into contact with the leaf spring 3, whose position in a radial direction changes as the first cap member 1 and the second cap member 2 turn. By turning the first cap member 1 and the second cap member 2 each other, the portion where the first cap member 1 comes into contact with the leaf spring 3 changes, and the position in the radial direction of the contact portion of the leaf spring 3 with the first cap member 1 changes, whereby the position of a pawl 5 mounted on the leaf spring 3 changes in the radial direction, and the pawl 5 is fit in a recessed groove part 10 provided on the circumference of a lens barrel part or separated from the recessed groove part 10.
