PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten drying time while preventing the lowering of the quality of the coating film formed on a surface. SOLUTION: This coating method has first and second processes, and these first and second processes are repeatedly performed a plurality of times. In the first process, coating containing a solvent is sprayed against the surface (inner surface 101a) of a target base material (cylindrical article 101) to form an extremely thin coating film 11 on the surface (inner surface 101a).
