<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize surround effects or the like in accordance with a viewing space when transmitting an AV signal to AV equipment by using a millimeter waveband. <P>SOLUTION: A millimeter-wave transmitter 30 in a digital recorder 10 transmits an AV signal in a millimeter waveband to a plurality of AV equipment (surround speakers) via an AV signal transmitting part 32 and an antenna part 34. The millimeter-wave transmitter 30 includes a millimeter-wave radar device 40 so as to acquire spatial information of a viewing space by scanning a prescribed viewing space. A surround control part 54 executes optimization of reproduction of the AV signal, transmitted to each AV equipment by a millimeter wave, on the basis of the spatial information of the viewing space acquired by the millimeter-wave radar device 40 in order to obtain surround effects or the like matched with the viewing space and the viewer's position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
