PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method that achieves efficient productivity of an electrode for an electric double-layer capacitor. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the electrode for the electric double-layer capacitor includes a coating step of coating a coating liquid as a polarizing electrode layer on at least one surface of a metal collector so as to have an uncoated part to create a coating electrode, a collection lead part forming step of forming a collection lead part by punching the uncoated part of the polarizing electrode layer of the coating electrode, a slitting step of slitting a coated part with the polarizing electrode layer coated in a longitudinal direction, and a cutting step of cutting the slit coating electrode at a predetermined length to form an electrode.
