PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for a vehicle having a simple circuit configuration, capable of repeatedly switching a main switch between on and off to efficiently prevent a pre-charge resistor from being heated up to a high temperature. SOLUTION: The power supply device for a vehicle includes: a contactor 2 connected between a battery 1 for travelling and a load 20 and turning on/off power supply from the battery 1 for travelling to the load 20; a pre-charge circuit 3 connected in parallel to the contactor 2, and pre-charging a capacitor 13 connected in parallel to the load 20 with an on-signal to be input from a main switch 8 of the vehicle; and a control circuit 4 for controlling the pre-charge circuit 3 and the contactor 2. The pre-charge circuit 3 includes: a pre-charge resistor 6 for limiting a pre-charge current; and a pre-charge switch 7 connected in series to the pre-charge resistor 6. The control circuit 4 includes: a protective circuit 9 for controlling a switch for detecting the current of the pre-charge resistor 6 and pre-charging the capacitor 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
