PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound acquisition system which is composed of a main housing and a plurality of sub-housings turnable with respect to the main housing and can control sound acquisition direction of a sound emitting and acquiring device only by turning the plurality of sub-housings. SOLUTION: The sound emitting and acquisition system 100 is composed of a sound emitting and acquiring device 1 and a PC 2. The sound emitting and acquiring device 1 is composed of the main housing 10 and the plurality of sub-housings 11 and 12 turnable with respect to the main housing 10, and a microphone array is formed in each of the main housing 10 and the sub-housings 11 and 12. When a user inputs a desired using mode, the sound emitting and acquisition system 100 determines a setting position relation between the main housing 10 and the sub-housings 11 and 12 corresponding to the using form and performs wizard display consisting of the setting position relation and the current actual measurement position relation of the sound emitting and acquiring device 1 in the PC 2. In addition, the sound emitting and acquisition system 100 determines a sound acquisition mode corresponding to the actual measurement position information and controls a sound acquisition direction.
