PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit board for a secondary battery capable of greatly improving workability by installing a PTC element in a system installed at the protection circuit board, and the secondary battery using the circuit board. SOLUTION: The protection circuit board 100 for the secondary battery has an effect of improving workability and reducing a manufacturing cost by being installed in a system of inserting terminals 210, 220 of the PTC element 200 when installed on the board 100. The secondary battery using such a protection circuit board 100 sensitively detects the deterioration of the battery and reacts by an effect that the PTC element 200 is installed at the upper face or at the lower face of the board 100, or by an effect that one terminal of the PTC element 200 is formed by being extended up to a bare cell 300.
