PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application device and method for a liquid material, and program, capable of solving problems of a delay in a response time of the liquid material and a change in viscosity with time, without preliminarily preparing much control data. SOLUTION: The application method and apparatus, and program includes the response time calculation step for calculating a response delay time when changing a discharge amount before starting application in relatively moving a workpiece and a screw type dispenser opposite to the workpiece at a constant speed to continuously applying the discharge amount of the liquid material inconstantly. The response time calculation step includes the first step for transmitting a signal for changing the discharge amount to the dispenser in the middle of application with the constant moving speed to store the time, the second step for calculating a change start time of the discharge amount by measuring the liquid material applied to store the time, and the third step for storing a difference value between the time stored in the first step and the time stored in the second step as the response delay time in changing the discharge amount.
