PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission mechanism capable of suppressing the increase in rotating loss of a main shaft. SOLUTION: This transmission 77 (transmission mechanism) is provided with a main shaft 47 to which the drive force of a crankshaft 33 is transmitted to be rotated, a clutch mechanism part 37 capable of disconnecting and connecting the drive force transmitted to the main shaft 47 from the crankshaft 33, and a rod member 50 and a push rod 54 connected to the clutch mechanism part 37, with the rod member and the push rod moving in an axial direction to actuate the clutch mechanism part 37 so as to disconnect and connect the drive force transmitted to the main shaft 47 from the crankshaft 33. The rod member 50 and the push rod 54 include a flange part 54d configured to press the main shaft 47 when the clutch mechanism part 37 is actuated so as to disconnect the drive force transmitted to the main shaft 47 from the crankshaft 33.
