<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part mounting device continuing a mounting operation without generating a soft limit error even when a tray for collection is installed beyond a movable region for a load head, and also to provide a method for collecting a part by the part mounting device. <P>SOLUTION: The propriety of loading the part P onto a substrate is decided before the part P picked up by the load head is loaded onto the substrate, and the part P decided as the impropriety of loading onto the substrate is placed on the tray 31 for collection detachably installed on a base by the load head. The overlapping region of a region S2 to the base 2 of the tray 31 for collection installed to the base and a movable region R for the load head to the preset base is computed as a part-placing region T in this case, and the part P decided as the impropriety of loading onto the substrate is placed in the computing part placing region T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
