PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely suppress leakage of grease from a seal plate without causing increase in production cost. SOLUTION: A constant velocity universal joint is equipped with: an inner ring 1 connected to a shaft 5; an outer ring 2 disposed on the outer peripheral side of the inner ring 1; a plurality of balls 3 which perform torque transmission between the inner ring 1 and the outer ring 2; a boot 7 for sealing one end opening part of the outer ring 2; and a seal plate 8 which is pressure-fixed to the inner peripheral surface 2c1 of the mounting part 2c provided on the other end opening part side of the outer ring 2, and seals the other end opening part. The inner peripheral surface 2c1 of the mounting part 2c is made to be a tapered surface which gradually expands the diameter toward the one end opening part side of the outer ring 2, and the outer peripheral surface 8b1 of the press-fitting part 8b of the seal plate 8 press-fitted in the inner peripheral surface 2c1 of the mounting part 2c is made to be a tapered surface corresponding to the inner peripheral surface 2c1 of the mounting part 2c.
