<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitter of high luminance which does not require high precision for positioning its light source and reflectors, is excellent in assembly workability, and is capable of effectively utilizing the light emitted from the light source, and to provide lighting fixtures using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In this light emitter 1, an LED 4 as a light source has a reflecting plane 9, which faces a light-emitting element 6 and radiates the light in the side directions of the light-emitting element 6. As a consequence, the LED 4, having a single package, serves as a light source that radiates the light from a surface. In addition, reflecting planes can be arranged at arbitrary positions by distributing optical control planes in circumferential direction and radial directions from the light source. Therefore, the light emitter is thin type, has a high efficiency, and responds to various shapes without degrading the efficiency. Besides, when the length and the width are asymmetrical, the light distribution can be controlled only by a reflector plate 2 since the reflector plate 2 is so formed as to vary the range of the light reflecting angle depending on the direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
