PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently exhibit the fuel leakage preventive function at a time of inclination, without increasing manufacturing cost, in a carburetor for an outboard motor. SOLUTION: This carburetor 1A for the outboard motor has a main passage 6 for connecting a constant fuel passage 3 and an intake passage 2 by passing through a main nozzle 4 with the tip side opened arranged in the intake passage 2, and externally opens an air vent passage 5 arranging the constant fuel chamber 3 in a main body, and is characterized in that solenoid valves 10 and 11 as a cutoff valve are respectively arranged for opening and closing the main passage 6 and the air vent passage 5, both solenoid valves 10 and 11 are opened when operating an engine, and are closed when stopping the engine, and a fuel leakage passage from the constant fuel chamber 3 is closed after stopping the engine.
