PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method which configures an update processing execution program of data processing programs so that the update processing execution program is divided and provided. SOLUTION: The update processing execution program to be applied to update processing of data processing programs stored in an information processing apparatus is divided into a core part and a body part, and the core part is defined as a program to be executed for processing common to different data processing programs, and the body part is defined as a program for executing different kinds of update processing corresponding to respective different data processing programs, and only the core part is stored in a storage part, and the body part is provided via a recording medium or a network.
