PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow electrostatic atomization with high precision without acting external force on a discharge electrode even when the external force acts on a lead wire. SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomizing device 5 is provided with the discharge electrode 1, a cooling means 2 for cooling the discharge electrode 1 to dew-condense and to supply water in the air onto the discharge electrode 1, a housing 3 for housing the cooling means 2 in a hermetically sealed space and holding the discharge electrode 1 and a high voltage applying plate 8 for applying high voltage on the water supplied to the discharge electrode 1 to electrostatically atomize the water held on the discharge electrode 1 by applying the high voltage. The tip part of the high voltage applying plate 8 serves as a lead wire connection part 9. A fixing part of the high voltage applying plate 8 to the housing 3 and a lead wire connection part 9 of the tip part are not placed on the same plane. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
