PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for setting a more efficient search range when searching two discretely picked-up images for corresponding parts of a subject. SOLUTION: An imaging device includes an imaging unit, a motion sensor, an image analysis unit, and a control unit. The imaging unit continuously images a subject with luminous flux having passed through an imaging optical system to generate data of a first image and a second image. The motion sensor detects the direction and intensity of motion applied to the device. The image analysis unit searches the second image for an area corresponding to an area of interest in the first image.
