<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater comprising foam insulation capable of obtaining good heat insulating effect for a long time even when the foam insulation shrinks by aged deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: This hot water storage type water heater comprises a hot water storage tank 7 for storing hot water heated by a heating means 2, an outer case 1 surrounding the hot water storage tank 7, and a heat insulating material disposed in a space between the hot water storage tank 7 and the outer case 1 for heat-retention and heat insulation of the hot water storage tank 1, the heat insulating material is composed of the foam insulation 26 divided into a plurality of pieces, each divided foam insulation is provided with an inserting portion 27 having a thickness thinner than a plate thickness, and having the shape projecting outward at an end portion of the foam insulation 26, and an overhung portion 28 overhung outward at a tip part of the inserting portion 27, and further an end portion of the opposed foam insulation 26 is provided with an insert portion 29 to which the inserting portion 27 is fitted, and a locking hole 30 communicated with the insert portion 29 and engaged with the overhung portion 28, thus the release of hot air is suppressed, and good heat insulating effect can be obtained for a long time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
