The bra has a side part (7a) comprising a rear end area (18) and an end that is laterally fastened to a front part. Another end of the side part is connected to an end of another side part, in a back region of a person by a hook and a lug fastener. A rear end area of the latter side part is cushioned by a layer made of soft padding material. The areas are covered on both sides by using textile material. Parts of hooks (28) and lugs are contacted one another and are projected from the areas. A latch (20) is fixed with the textile material of the side part by an adhesive layer (24). The padding material is made of fibrous web-like material i.e. fiberfill. An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching parts of a hook and a lug fastener at rear ends of side parts of a bra.
