METHOD AND SERVER FOR IMPROVING INCOMING QUALITY OF SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE BY USING MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method for improving the receipt quality of a short message service by using a mobile communication network and a server therefor are provided to transmit a short message after including a short message priority in it. A calling-side mobile terminal receives a key input or command by the manipulation of a user. A short message is generated in response to a short message request signal for transmitting it to a called-side mobile terminal. The short message is transmitted to the mobile communication network. A mobile switching center of the mobile communication network passes through a base station transmitter and base station controller. After the short message request signal is received from the calling terminal, a calling-side short message transfer signal is transmitted to an SMS center (S310). A destination node information request signal is transmitted to a home location register(S320). A destination node information response signal which is the response to the destination node information request signal to the SMS center(S330). The destination short message transfer signal is transmitted to the mobile switching center(S340).
